Born and raised in Newcastle, England, motor sports brought owner Sharon Moore across the pond to Indianapolis in 2003 as a BBC television producer for Champ Car, the IndyCar forerunner.

After enjoying the thrill of racing and travelling the world, Sharon decided to unpack the suitcase for a while, to raise her two children Maximilian and Matilda ( Tilly ) the tea room's namesake. 

After deciding to bring the concept of a modern English tea room to Indianapolis, Sharon opened her first location in Fishers, IN in February 2015.

After the landlord sold the building, Tilly's needed a new home and that is when the partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue was born.

In July 2016 Tilly's opened on the 3rd floor of Saks Fifth Avenue in the Fashion Mall at Keystone Crossing. From a 34 seat rickety old house in Fishers, Sharon, Max and Tilly are thrilled to be in their elegant, spacious dining room hosting lunch with regulars and celebrating special occasions with their valued guests and the Saks family.
